The vaccine is safe enough. No vaccine is 100% safe, no medication is 100% safe.

However, given the high mortality of 2–3% from COVID, any vaccine would do. Even if the vaccine caused 1 in 10000 deaths (which it does not), its use would still be justifiable to prevent 1 in 50 deaths from COVID.

It may not be 100% safe, but it is the only way to prevent millions more from dying.
